Being an average wage earner and not able to tax-deduct his favorite toy, I was never able to afford a real top-notch high-end gizmo. Large (9 x 12 cm) or medium format cameras (6 x 6 cm, 6 x 7 cm or 6 x 9 cm) always outreached my financial scope.
I would certainly have enjoyed passionately observing the world through the eyes of a Mamiya or a Hasselblad, but up to now I had to confine myself to one-eyed mass-market products of the so-called "35 mm camera" scope.

Apart from a 50 mm and a 300 mm fixed focal length lens, I take my pictures with a variety of zoom lenses. Nothing that would arouse real enviousness or admiration, nevertheless sufficient for most of my photographical challenges - and to occasionally carry myself an aching back.

My lenses:
  • Canon EF 50 mm f1.4
  • Canon EF 24-70 mm f 2.8L USM
  • Canon EF 16-35 mm f 2.8L II USM
